 | Hi, I'm Deb and I live on the Eastern Coast in Newport News, Virginia. My home is crazy busy at all times!. First of all, we have 3 teens that, up until this year, have always been homeschooled. Add in the fact that my husband's web design business is here as well and you can imagine that there's never a dull moment at the Perry's!
I think my art reflects my lifestyle. It bounces around all over the place. One day I love clean and graphic, while the next day I'm all into the mess of glue, paint, scissors and fabric. You can usually find me at the bottom of a pile of books and magazines for inspiration, however, I'm probably the happiest when simply observing the people and things that cross my path on a daily basis. I've always been intrigued with pattern and color, so I'm never without a notebook to jot random thoughts, little doodles and notes into. Recently, my husband has taught me photography and Photoshop and while I don't consider myself a professional at either... I do have a good eye, so it brings me great joy to observe and document the lives around me with these new tools.
It was very exciting to accept an invitation to be on on the Fiskars Top Ten Design Team this year. Creating is in my veins so being blessed with the opportunity to work with not only fabulous tools and products, but a team of true artists is one of my dreams come true.
