ParchamoreBasic Technique of Parchamore When you pressure emboss on parchment paper, it turns white. Use firm pressure to make a dense white line. If you press really hard, you may rip through the paper. The foam pad is designed to take quite firm pressure without damaging the parchment paper. Small embossing tip – outlining and embossing fine lines. Medium embossing tip – making dots in design fields and small space solid embossing. Large embossing tip – smooth solid embossed motifs. Piercing tip – makes evenly sized pierced hold in the design. Technique Steps Each design stencil set follow the same technique steps. Stencil #1: outline and shade Stencil #2: solid emboss Stencil #3: add design fields and piercing Using the Foam Pad The parchment paper is taped to the foam pad throughout all the stencil steps. This insures perfect alignment of the stencils. The foam pad can be used on both sides. When it has been well used, heat the foam with a heat tool to bring it back to the original smooth surface. Using Vellum Parchment paper is heavier and thicker than vellum. If vellum is used, it is much easier to break through. The results will not be as nice. Great results in Less Time This system creates beautiful, lacy designs in a fraction of the time compared to the traditional labor extensive parchment crafting, but gives the look and feel of the traditional parchment crafting. Touch Up Designs You can always “touch up” designs by placing it back on the pad and working on the back.
