Volunteers from Fiskars Craft made pillows during February for Heart Health Month, sponsored by the American Heart Association.  The pillows will be donated to St. Mary’s Hospital to use with patients recovering from heart surgery.  Holding a pillow tight to your chest helps ease the pain while coughing or sneezing after surgery.

Fiskars invited all crafters to make a pillow and donate it locally.  Project instructions are available on www.fiskarscrafts.com.

Crafters can support the American Heart Association by using the limited edition line of products from Fiskars.  Sales of these items will result in a minimum donation of $30,000 to the American Heart Association.

In addition to the eye-catching red color, each product includes a bonus, such as a sheath for the scissors.  Text on the back of each packaging offers tips to a heart healthy lifestyle.  Heart disease is the number 1 killer of women.
