Rub-a-DubDear Patti, One of my friends recently introduced me to rub-ons, do you have any suggestions on how to use rub-ons? Thank you, Rub-a-Dub Dear Rub-a-Dub, Rub-ons are very exciting to use. They come in so many different ways, such as lettering, words, poems and even designs. You can use rub-ons on many different materials. The easiest to start with would be cardstock or even putting it directly onto a photo. To use rub-ons first you can cut the rub-on you wish to use and line it up where you want the rub-on to go. Remove the tissue or paper on the back and place the rub on where you want it and you can verify this is where you want it. Next using either a popsicle stick or the tool included with your ribbons rub the front of the rub on until the rub on is transferred to the photo or cardstock. Slowly lift up to make sure you have the entire rub-on rubbed onto your craft. You can even layer the rub-ons to create a unique title or design on your scrapbook page or card. Once you have mastered the rub-ons on your cardstock move onto better and more fun products. Try using rub-ons on glass, ribbon, cork, metal anything. It will definitely expand your mind while crafting. Keep in mind some rub-ons may be stronger/stickier then others so always test on scrap material to see if it will work correctly. Rub-ons are an endless opportunity to stretch the creative crafting mind!
