A few friends and I do an exchange of mixed music CDs throughout the year, and as I was making a pocket for the latest one I had an epiphany!  I could create a fun little mini album of pockets to hold CDs.  I decided to put together four CDs of my favorite photos from the year, making one pocket for each season.  It's a great way to know exactly where to find those best pictures, without having to hunt through my huge collection of CDs.  This idea is also great for using as a gift... you could put together a pocket album of CDs for a family member from your last vacation or to a friend with your favorite pictures of good times together.

Instructions (Print version)

1. I created the pockets first, then all the covers before adhering ribbon across all the pockets and then adding the covers on top.  To create a 5x5 in pocket trim a piece of cardstock into a 5.5x11 strip.  Use a scoring blade on the rotary trimmer to mark off .5 in horizontally and 10 in vertically.  Fold on these lines - these will create the tabs that hold your pocket together.  Fold the piece in half so that it is now a 5x5 in square.  Unfold and trim off the extra .5x5 strip from the right side of the paper, so you're only left with a .5x5 tab under the left 5x5 square.  I trim these at an angle so they tuck up easily.  Use Twist & Flip corner punch on upper corners, then place adhesive on the tabs you've created and fold together.

2. For the cover - Trim Heidi Grace patterned paper into a 5x5 piece and use Twist & Flip corner rounder on the top corner.  Use circle cutter with yellow cardstock, then mount onto Heidi Grace patterned paper and trim out using scallops paper edgers.  Adhere to the pocket and add number stickers.  Punch hearts using Heidi Grace patterned paper and That's Amore squeeze punches, then adhere them to the cover with foam adhesive.  Add Cloud 9 raindots.

3. Winter cover - Trim Heidi Grace patterned paper into a 5x5 piece and use Twist & Flip corner rounder on the top corner.  Trim a strip of Heidi Grace patterned paper and adhere it on the bottom of the cover.  Use Scallop Sentiments on Heidi Grace patterned paper and adhere two punched strips to the cover.  Add strip of Heidi Grace patterned paper between them and letter stickers.  Punch two trees using I Pine for You squeeze punch and Heidi Grace patterned paper, then adhere them to the cover.  Punch two stars out of Heidi Grace patterned paper and pop up punch, then adhere them to the trees.  Use Round 'n Round M squeeze punch to punch a hole in the top.

4. Spring cover - Trim Heidi Grace patterned paper into a 5x5 piece and use Twist & Flip corner rounder on the top corner.  Use Apron Lace border punch with a strip of Heidi Grace patterned paper and adhere to cover.  Punch flowers using Oopsie Daisy and Bling Bling squeeze punches and adhere to the cover.  Add Heidi Grace letter stickers and Cloud 9 raindots to the center of the flowers.  Use Round 'n Round M squeeze punch to punch a hole in the top.

5. Summer cover - Trim Heidi Grace patterned paper into a 5x5 piece and use Twist & Flip corner rounder on the top corner.  Use Boundary Waves on strips of orange cardstock and adhere to the cover. Use circle cutter to cut three circles out of Heidi Grace patterned paper, then adhere to the cover.  Punch four stars using Twinkle Twinkle squeeze punch and Heidi Grace patterned paper.  Adhere them to the cover and add raindots and letter stickers.  Use Round 'n Round M squeeze punch to punch a hole in the top.

6. Fall cover - Trim Heidi Grace patterned paper into a 5x5 piece and use Twist & Flip corner rounder on the top corner.  Trim Heidi Grace patterned paper into a small strip and round corners using Twist & Flip corner rounder, then adhere to the cover.  Use Upper Crest border punch with a strip of Heidi Grace patterned paper and adhere to the cover.  Punch three leaves using Mint Condition XL squeeze punch and adhere them to the cover.  Punch one leave using Mint Condition M squeeze punch and adhere it to the leave, then add raindots.  Add Heidi Grace letter stickers and use Round 'n Round M squeeze punch to punch a hole in the top.
