Best WitchesClick image to enlarge Designer: Patti Milazzo Take out your broomsticks and cauldron’s because Halloween is in the air! I have this arrangement in my foyer to greet my ghoulish guests and set the stage for this frightfully fun holiday. I chose colors and floral pieces that made me think of witchy things…long green spindly tendrils; black orange and purple blooms with autumn leaves scattered beneath and put them all together with Fiskars floral tools. Instructions (Print version) 1. Begin planning and preparing your project a day in advance. At this time you can paint/prepare your container and apply Floral Spray Foam to the inside of the container. Be certain to lightly mist the inside of the container with water, fill part way with the foam, repeat misting and allow foam to expand somewhat before adding more foam. Leave room for the foam to expand and let this cure 12 - 24 hours.
3. Use the 3-in-1 Fastener to attach Floral Picks to stems for extra support and to band together small groupings of flowers with the Floral Tape Dispenser.
4. Start arranging the taller pieces in the center of your container. Continue shaping the arrangement symmetrically featuring your focal flowers while keeping balance and proportion in mind. I filled in spaces near the bottom of the arrangement with fall leaf stems.
Other: 6” diameter metal bucket (from a home improvement store) painted black; variety of Halloween floral stems (black, purple, orange & green color combination) including tall accent pieces; raffia and twigs to create the broom. |
