Congrats

I love the orange flocked paper on this card! I wanted this card to reflect happiness, since it’s a congratulatory card, so I used a combination of orange, yellow, and red. I feel like the vibrant colors help emphasize the point of the card, which is that you (the card giver) are happy for the person you’re giving it to because of their new baby, wedding, job promotion, etc.

Instructions (Print version)

  1. Trim Red Rock paper to 6” x 8”, then fold in half so that card size is 6” x 4”.
  2. Adhere a 5.75” x 4” rectangle of Floral flocked paper to cover of card. (Trim bottom with scallop paper edgers before adhering.)
  3. Adhere the orange/pink polka-dot frame from the Flower Embossed Frame Punchouts to the center of the card (trim the right-hand side of rectangle punchout and reattach it to the frame in order to create a square frame.)
  4. Use Flower Small Alphabet Stickers to spell “congrats” in lower-case letters on top of a spare piece of Red Rock paper.
  5. Apply black ink to the Words stamp from the Words stamp set, then stamp over the “congrats” stickers onto the Red Rock paper.
  6. Trim this section of paper out so that it is approximately 4” x 1.25”.
  7. Punch the upper right-hand corner of this trimmed section using the Ivy Blossom punch.
  8. Also use the Ivy Blossom punch to punch the lower left-hand corner of the orange/pink scroll recatangle that you punched out from the Flower Embossed Frame Punchouts when you removed the polka-dot frame.
  9. Adhere the orange/pink scroll to the lower half of the polka-dot frame square, trimming as needed.
  10. Adhere the “congrats” stamped element to the upper portion of the square frame.
  11. Add one large orange flower and one small yellow flower with brads to the front of the card.
