I love to scrapbook because it gives me the creative outlet that I crave and am somehow missing while I write out grocery lists and fold ten thousand pairs of socks.  There is nothing more fulfilling than being surrounded by glitter and glue, well, except maybe my three darling children and patient husband.

When I began scrapbooking I was unsure as to where to start and all of the brand names were new to me and overwhelming.  I did, however, recognize those familiar orange handles and trusted that Fiskars would serve me as well in scrapbooking as it did my grandmother in quilting.  Thus began my collection of Fiskars products.

For this project I knew that I wanted to highlight all of the beautiful patterned paper, but I didn't want to overwhelm all of the pictures that I wanted to use.  The squeeze punch offered me the perfect solution.

Instructions (Print version)

1.  Punch out 10 scalloped edge squares from 5 different sheets of double-sided patterned paper.

2.  Trim (if necessary) the photos that you want to use to 5" x 5" (1), 3 1/2" x 2 1.2" (2) and 2 1/2" x 2" (1).

3.  Cut a 3 1/2" x 2 1/2" rectangle out of a solid patterned paper or cardstock.  This will be used for your journaling.

4.  Using the Fiskars: Threading Water border punch, punch 4 borders of 12 inch patterned paper.  Trim the borders so that they are approximately 1/2" x 12".

5.  Using coordinating rub-ons or alpha stickers, attach your title to one of the border strips.  Use more rub-ons to decorate another of your border trims.

6.  Now it's time to start adhering everything.  Start with the 2 border strips for the bottom of the page.  Overlap the borders that you made from the Threading Water border punch.  Now attach the 2 border strips along the left side of the page.  Overlap these as well.

7.  Lay out all of your pictures, patterned paper scalloped punches and journaling spot.

8.  Start with the 5" x 5" picture in the bottom right-hand corner and begin adhering all of your elements.

9.  To add some variety to your page, trace one of the scalloped edge squares in place of using some of the  patterned paper in your design.

10.  Once everything has been attached and you have completed your journaling, use buttons and coordinating circle stickers to finish your layout.
