Instructions (Print version)

  1. Use craft knife to trim foam board to 8x10 inches.
  2. Trim 3 strips of fabric, using rotary cutter and craft mat.  In example, bottom strip (orange polka dots) measures 3x10.  Middle strip (stripes) measures 2x10.  Top strip (orange motif) measures 8.5x10.
  3. Pin 3 pieces together and machine stitch (straight stitch) where striped portion meets other two fabrics.
  4. Center fabric on foam board, and wrap edges around to back and adhere.  Enforce adhesive with fabric glue if needed.
  5. Trim green fabric (with pinking shears) slightly larger than 4x6 photo.  Lightly adhere photo to fabric, and then machine stitch edges of photo with zigzag stitch.
  6. Using fabric glue, adhere fabric-matted photo to fabric-covered foam board.
  7. Adhere chipboard letters and heart directly over photo.
  8. Hang photo décor by ribbon – adhere ribbon to backside of foam board with fabric glue.  Example uses 2 ribbons, pre-machine stitched together prior to securing behind décor.
