Designer: Patti Milazzo

These simple fabric bracelets are easy to make and are great for teens who love to accessorize.

The first bracelet is a thin double wrap whereas the second is a cuff style.  Both can be worn alone or together and each has a toggle clasp attached to the ends using eyelets and jump rings.  They’re each created in a similar fashion but the second bracelet is shorter and just a bit wider as well as it has more embellishment on the cuff’s surface and for the attachment of the toggle clasp.  So, gather up your Fiskars sewing tools, paper crafting tools AND wire tools to mix them up for this fun project!

Instructions (Print version)

To make the Orange Wrap Bracelet:

  1. Cut a 1 ¾”W x 15”L piece of fabric.
  2. Fold ends ½” and press flat.
  3. Fold the strip in half lengthwise with right side facing in and pin.  Now sew along the length ¼” from the edge.  Be sure to backstitch at the start and finish.  Press seam open with iron.
  4. Using the safety pin from the Sewing Multi Tool, attach the pin to on end and feed it through the inside of the fabric tube to turn it right side out.

  1. Adjust the tube so that the seam is in the back and press flat with an iron.
  2. Stitch each end of the fabric strip to close the tube.  Also, at this time you may want to stitch along the length of both edges of the strip for a more finished look.  *These bracelets do not show this.
  3. Use the 1/8” Circle Hand Punch to punch a hole in each end of the strip and attach a 1/8” eyelet as shown.

  1. Using Fiskars wire tools (Wire Cutter and Pliers) attach jump rings and toggle clasp. To wear, simply wrap the bracelet around the wrist twice and secure the toggle.

To make the Floral Cuff Bracelet:

  1. Cut a 2”W x 7 ½”L piece of fabric.
  2. Then follow Steps 2-6 as above.
  3. Use the 1/8” Circle Hand Punch to punch 3 holes in each end of the strip and attach 1/8” eyelets as shown.

  1. Also, punch additional holes in the fabric to accent the cuff and attach eyelets.
  2. Attach the jump rings with Fiskars wire tools as above.  Because the bracelet is a bit wider, I attached small pieces of chain (2 links) to each jump ring.  Then I linked the 3 pieces of chain with another jump ring which was also attached to the toggle end.

  1. Once both ends are complete the bracelet is ready to wear.
