Jenifer Cowles, fiskateer #679- This is a quick project to make for gifts.  I like to use my Desktop Rotary Cutter and Scallop Blade for more than just scrapbooking.  It also works wonderful for your felt projects.

  • Required supplies:
  • Desktop Rotary Trimmer
  • 28mm Scallop Rotary Blade - Blade Style F
  • No. 5 Micro-Tip® Scissors
  • Heidi Grace flowers
  • felt
  • button

Instructions (Print version)

1.         Cut 1 piece of felt 11x7 and 2pieces of felt 7x5.

2.         The larger piece is your cover (it is much easier to decorate before you sew it together)

3.         Cut out your monogram or shape and sew on to the right hand side of your 11x7 piece.  (I just sewed down the middle)

4.         Free hand cut out leafs and sew to cover and sew on flowers and buttons on top of the leaves.

5.         Sew your pockets on the opposite side with a ¼” seam allowance.

6.         Use the desk top rotary trimmer with the Scallop blade and go around all for edges to give it a decorative edge.

7.         Fill the pockets with envelopes and cards.
