flowers for mom card

When I was little, my brother and I always gave my mom new plants for her garden for Mother’s Day. Now that we’re adults, we carry on that tradition by getting her gift certificates to a local garden center each year. This card features a bouquet of cheery blooms just perfect to go along with that gift.

Instructions
(Print version)
1. Trim white cardstock to 8.5x5.5in and fold into a 4.25x5.5in card.
2. Punch rectangles from 2 patterned papers and arrange in a border around the outside of the card. Stitch into place.
3. Punch a circle from floral patterned paper and attach to the middle of the card.
4. Arrange three 3d flower stickers above the circle.
5. Stitch 3 “stems” down the middle of the circle as shown.
6. Fold the edges of the circle into each other and adhere into place as shown.
7. Stamp small flowers around flower stickers.
8. Spell out “happy mother’s day” using rubons below the bouquet.
9. Trim a small rectangle of floral patterned paper and use the scallop sentiment border punch along one edge. Stitch to the inside of the card to form a pocket for a gift certificate.
