Intro: There are so many little details about my baby’s first year that I want to make sure to remember.  I decided to create this 7x7 mini-book to do just that!  Each page represents one of the 12 months throughout his first year.  I used products from the new Heidi Grace Baby Line to coordinate and tie the whole book together.  I also created my own custom embellishments throughout the book, by stamping on fabric, chipboard, and punched tags.  In addition, by only punching HALF of an XL circle out, I created a cute “monthly” tab to go along with each page.

Instructions (Print version)

1. For Book Base: Trim seven pieces of chipboard to 7x7.  Cover each with patterned paper from Heidi Grace Designs Baby collection.  Bind album however you like (one method would be to punch holes and secure with bookrings).
2. For Cover: Punch L circle from tan cardstock.  Add baby’s initial with chipboard letter.  Adhere onto XL circle punched from light blue cardstock.  Adhere to front of book.
3. Rub title onto kraft cardstock, trim and adhere under initial.  Add punchboard embellishment to left side.
4. Stamp “a tale to tell” onto fabric, trim and machine stitch to selected chipboard title block.  Adhere title block to lower corner of cover.  Add punchboard heart and embellishments.
5. For Inside Pages: All are designed in the same way – start with a 5x5 piece of kraft cardstock.  Add a 2x3 photo to one corner (can vary).  Add patterned paper next to it.  Add journaling (written or printed onto kraft cardstock) under or above as shown.
6. Create month tag by punching only half of an XL circle from cardstock.  Add month # with sticker and then adhere to side of journaling block.
7. Adhere whole 5x5 spread to the center of each 7x7 chipboard page base.
8. Embellish 5x5 page with stamped images on fabric, punchboard accents, and stickers.
9. Machine stitch edges of photos, and fabric stamped embellishments if desired.
