Give a grad a gift card or some cash in this studious card design!  Re-purpose Fiskars diamonds shape templates to create a graduation cap in a flash!  Design your card with custom colors for the receiver to make it extra special.  Stitch a clear pocket on the inside sized for a bill or a gift card.

Instructions (Print version)

1. Cut black cardstock to 6” x 12” and fold in half to create a 6” square card.  Add a 5 ¾” square block of diamond patterned paper to the front. 
2. Cut a 4 ½” square piece of white cardstock and add to the center of the patterned paper piece.  Stitch around the white square with machine (optional).
3. Cut the 2nd largest size of diamond from the shape template.  Custom cut the bottom of the hat using the large oval as a guide (to make the curved bottom).  Attach the diamond to the hat base with foam adhesive.

4. Stitch a black button to the center of the diamond of the cap.  Use embroidery floss to create a tassle to add to the button.

5. Add the cap to the card and stamp GRAD below.
6. Stitch a clear bit of transparency (3” x 4”) to the inside of the card for the pocket.

7. Stamp CONGRATS on white cardstock and add to clear pocket.  Write your message with a white ink pen if desired.
