Instructions (Print version)

  1. Fold paper in half lengthwise....using pencil, draw basic heart shape filling entire sheet of paper. Draw another heart shape 1 inch smaller than the  first heart. Draw another heart 2 inches smaller..this will be the 3rd heart. Unfold paper and enlarge this pattern  100 % or to desired size.  Make 3 copies.
  2. Cut apart patterns and pin to fabric. Red is the largest heart (Double Fabric/ 2 hearts). Pink medium sized ( One heart) and White the smallest (One Heart). Using Rotary Cutter,  cut out each heart pattern.
Place Wrong SIDE of Pink Heart to Right Side of Red Heart and Top Stitch (3 inches from outer edge)  with sewing machine. Place the White Fabric on top of these two layers and Top Stitch close to the white edge.
Using Fabric Shears cut slits in the outer rim of pink fabric right up to stitching to make fringe.
Trim edges by top stitching various colors of Rick Rack over heart seams.
Place Right Side of remaining Red Heart to Right Side of Hearts that you have just sewn. Make sure fringe is folded inward so that it doesn't catch into the other pillow seams. Pin Fabric and Stitch...leave about 6 inches on lower edge in order to stuff pillow. Cut notches in seams around curves.
Using FiberFill stuff pillow to desired thickeness. Using Needle and thread, hand sew using a whip stitch to close pillow.
