Like Butterflies

Don't want to mess with a bulky sewing machine? Do it by hand! I added little sewing accents to my project by simply using a needle and embroidery floss. No sewing experience needed!

- Pinking Shears-Coastal

- 5”x5” warm & natural batting
- 5”x5” pink gingham fabric
- Pink Buttons
- Pink thread or embroidery floss
- Needle
- Pink Tulle
- 8.5”x11 light pink cardstock

Adhere a 2.5”x8.5” piece of Glitter Décor Stripe paper to the bottom of cardstock.

Adhere photo as shown (title was added using Photoshop).

Cut a butterfly shape in the warm & natural batting using the pinking shears.

Lay the batting butterfly over the pink gingham and cut the same shape from the pink, only slightly larger (again using the pinking shears)

Layer the two pieces as shown and use pink floss to sew around the edges of batting as shown.

Adhere butterfly to layout and layer buttons as shown.

Add a piece of tulle tied in a knot to the top.

Use floss and needle to sew antennae onto the paper above butterfly.

Add flourish from rub-ons.
