Love Birds

This template set is very versatile!  I couldn't pass up the opportunity to create these cute birds that are so easy to make.  I used a flower leaf for the birds, stem for the tree branch, and completed the love theme with the heart included in this set.  I continued having fun with the template inside by creating a fun journaling path with the swirl!

  • red, blue and orange cardstock
  • black and white pens

Instructions (Print version)

1.  Trim dot cardstock to 8.5" x 5.5" and fold in half to create card base.  Ink edges if desired.
2.  Using the Ultra ShapeXpress, cut the blue bird using the flower leaf from template. 
3.  Repeat step 2 for the pink bird, turning your paper over before cutting so the birds will end up facing each other.
3.  Freehand cut two small beaks from orange cardstock and adhere to back of birds.  Add a small eye to each using black pen.
4.  Using the Ultra ShapeXpress, cut the tree branch using the flower stem from template. 
5.  Using the Ultra ShapeXpress, cut a heart from template.
6.  Ink all edges and adhere to card front using foam adhesive for birds and heart.
7.  Using swirl template, draw white journaling line onto blue cardstock and add journaling using black pen.
8.  Add two 1/4" heart punches to journaling block and adhere inside card.
