MadridClick image to enlarge Designer: Kelly Purkey Happy New Year! In 2009 I was incredibly lucky to be able to spend a lot of time doing one of my favorite things - traveling! Almost every month I was able to take at least one trip or flight somewhere. I love being able to jump on a plane and be somewhere new in a matter of hours. Most of the layouts I scrap are of travel photos from the trips - these are also my favorite pages to look back on. This past November I took a trip to London to visit my best friend and we went to Madrid for the weekend. These are two of my favorite photos from the trip... a little breakfast outside on our last morning. For the layout I pulled out my Fiskars Squarely Sentimental stamps. Even though these stamps are more geared towards card making, I think they are perfect for using on layouts as well. The squares and rustic designs reminded me a lot of architecture in Spain and I knew they would be great to use on the layout. I stamped one square in three rows to create my own small strip of patterned paper. I used the scalloped square along with my Fiskars Square-a-licious squeeze punch to create the title. The empty space in the middle of the square is a great match with some smaller rub-ons for a title. I also used a couple of the word stamps - explore and joy - to accent the page. The explore stamp was punched out with my Fiskars Square-a-licious squeeze punch and I stamped the tiny joy onto circles punched with my Fiskars Pop-Up punch. I hope this gives you some ideas for combining the Fiskars Squarely Sentimental stamp set with your travel photos this year! Difficulty rating
