Fall in New England is full of color! The changing leaves bring droves of tourists to our green mountain state. This fall frame is a great addition to your mantel...use it to hold any of your favorite fall images. The Fiskars Sweet Maple squeeze punch makes it easy to bring some of that fall foliage inside.

Instructions (Print version)

1. Start with an unfinished wood frame (available at most craft supply stores). I chose an 8”x8” square frame.
2. Paint the frame with acrylic paint. When the paint is dry, apply a coat of Crackle Accents gloss medium.
3. While the topcoat is drying, punch multiple leaves using the Fiskars Sweet Maple squeeze punch. You’ll want to use several coordinating colors of cardstock.

4. Coat each leaf with gloss medium.
5. Trim a rectangle (approx. 7.5” x 3”) of cardstock using the Fiskars 12” Portable Trimmer. Round all corners using the Fiskars Round the Corner punch.
6. Punch 4 leaves from rectangle, creating a “negative space” in the cardstock.

7. Adhere to bottom of frame with adhesive or additional gloss medium. Coat with gloss medium. Let dry.
8. Spell out “autumn” or “fall” with letter stickers along bottom of frame.
9. Randomly place the punched leaves around the frame, allowing some to overlap. Adhere with adhesive or gloss medium.
10.  Top with a coat of gloss medium. Let dry.

11. Add dimension by adhering scattered leaves with foam adhesive, making is appear that leaves are “jumping off the frame.”
