After a long, cold winter in New England, we get a stunning display of natural beauty! I’m fortunate to live near the fabulous waterfront area of Burlington. This layout is a super-simple tribute to the Summer Scenes that we get to enjoy. Using my Fiskars squeeze punches allowed me to add fun accents without searching for extra embellishments. Creating simple layouts like this one will leave you with plenty of time to get outside & enjoy that sunshine!

Instructions (Print version)

1. Start with a base cardstock in a neutral color (I chose kraft…my go to color!)
2. Trim two pieces of coordinating cardstock to approximately 9.5” x 11” and 9” x 11”. Use Fiskars Boundary Waters border punch on the left edge of both sheets of cardstock. This will allow you to layer the pieces, creating an easy, but eye-catching, border. Adhere to base cardstock using the Fiskars tape runner.
3.  Trim a strip of patterned paper using the Fiskars Portable trimmer. To ensure that it is exactly length of your cardstock, adhere to the edge, then trim the length using Fiskars Spring Action No. 5 Micro-tip Scissors.
4. I used my photo-editing program to arrange my photos on an 8.5” x 11” canvas…but you can also print & mat with a solid color cardstock. Adhere to the layered cardstock, aligning close to the right-hand edge.
5. Use a variety of punches to create a grouping of shapes in the lower left corner of your photos. The combination is totally up to you! I decided to use circles (Fiskars Round & Round punches) to ground my shapes, then added 2 small flowers (Fiskars May Flowers punch) and a wave (Fiskars Making Waves punch). Adhering shapes with foam dots helps them to “pop” off your page!
6. Add your title using alphabet stickers.
7. Add a few journaling strips to the upper edge of your photos.
