Let’s get sipping! Friendship is the Key to a Fine Cup of Tea

Remember all the tea parties you used to have with your friends growing up? Well who says we can’t still do that? July is the perfect month to sit inside and sip something fun with a few cherished friends. And with Fiskars new line of papers and embellishments by Kimberly Poloson you don’t even have to brave the heat to buy invitations, place cards or favors. I made everything you see here in one afternoon.

Project 1: Tea Party Pocket with Invite

1. To make Pocket: Trim patterned paper to 6x12 inches. Insert scoring blade into trimmer and score paper lengthwise at 3.75 increments. Punch scallop border at top. Fold on lines…adhere back with Glue stick. Add ribbon tie with Key.

2. To make Insert: Trim patterned paper to 3.5 x 8.75 inches. Add rubons border to top. Format invitation in computer and print out directly onto patterned paper. (run a test print on plain paper first). Cut out Small butterfly with scissors and adhere to top with foam dot.

Project 2: Tea Party Place Card

1. Trim patterned paper to 3.5 x 5 inches.
2. Add Journal Sticker . Add name with a pen or format in computer and run through printer.
3. On the long side, score at the 2 inch mark. Fold. (this makes the card stand up)
4. Cut out large butterfly with scissors and adhere to lower right side of card using foam dot.

Project 3: Tea Party Favor Notebook

1. To make Cover: Remove 5x7 inches sheet of butterfly paper from matt stack. Fold in half. Add journal sticker to front and handwrite ‘notes’ on to sticker.
2. To make pages: Cut 20 sheets of plain paper into 10 pieces measuring 5x7 inches each. Fold in half and insert into cover. This will give you 20 pages. Staple at middle fold. Trim outer edges to be even with cover.
