Tree and Poinsetta Placecards

Christmas Tree Design : This place card has a bright and cheery look using Cloud 9 Designs Christmas Is... collection, and Fiskars Cloud Paper Edgers and Nice Tri Squeeze Punch.  Add Rain Dot embellishments and Alphas for texture and shine.

Poinsettia Design : Need a more classic style to accompany your place settings?  I used Cloud 9 Designs Outdoors collection of papers and stickers to make this placecard.  I really liked the muted reds and greens in this collection.  A couple of flower punches forms a “poinsettia” style flower with seed beads in the center and round the corners with one of Fiskars new Corner Squeeze Punches.

Instructions (Print version)

Christmas Tree Design

  1. Cut 3 ½” x 6” piece of Dot paper; fold in half to create card.
  2. Trim bottom of front with Cloud Paper Edgers.
  3. Squeeze Punch Tri-angle; cut small piece of brown for trunk; assemble tree and adhere to top left of card front.
  4. Embellish tree with Rain Dots – snowflake for star and holly berries for ornaments.
  5. Cut ¼” x 3 ½” strip of Stripe paper and adhere across center of card.
  6. Apply Alpha Rain Dots to white cardstock for name and adhere to bottom of card.

 

Poinsettia Design

  1. Cut 3 ½” x 6” piece of cream paper; fold in half to create card.
  2. Squeeze Punch bottom corners of card front to round corners.
  3. Squeeze Punch 2 flower shapes; assemble flower and adhere to top left of card front.
  4. Hand punch 3 – ¼” circles and adhere to center.
  5. Apply liquid glue and add seed beads for sparkle.
  6. Embellish flower with Thought Starter stickers (vine).
  7. Cut 3/8” x 3 ½” strip of Stripe paper and adhere across center of card.
  8. Apply Alpha Stickers to bottom of card for name.
