Watermelon BBQ inviteClick image to enlarge Designer: Lisa Storms The Premium Cut-Line Trimmer is a dream for card making. By adding a scoring cartridge, you can quickly switch between scoring for perfect folds and cutting out super straight paper strips. Everywhere I look these days I see beautiful ruffle and pleating details, so I wanted to add a little dimension and fun to a watermelon card for a BBQ Invite. This trimmer made these folds so quick, easy, and precise. It took all of the guesswork away. And for a little extra fun, add to the "ruffled" theme by adding a potato chip to house your BBQ greeting by crimping a simple circle punch and add a scalloped "chomp" out of the watermelon. Instructions (Print version) 1. Fold red cardstock in half to create card base. Use scoring blade to make perfect fold.
3. To pleat the dark green strip, line the strip up at the bottom of the trimmer with scoring blade switched in and align beginning of strip at ¼" mark and score. Move strip to align previous score mark with ½" on grid and score. Continue with strip scoring alternating ½" and ¼" score lines until strip is complete. Fold pleats as shown.
4. To ruffle light green strip, alternate 1" and ½" score marks and fold as shown.
7. Punch XL circle, run through crimper, and bend edges up slightly to form chip.
